The role supports AbbVie's onsite Pharmacy and advises on pharmacy regulatory compliance, controlled substance management, licensure matters, and related commercial contracts requests, with a focus on practical, business-first legal

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school with active licensed status.
5+ years of relevant experience in-house or life sciences/healthcare.
Experience advising on pharmacy-related legal matters.

Responsibilities

Provide proactive counsel on commercial, regulatory, or operational issues.
Interpret US laws and global regulations relevant to pharma/healthcare.
Review and advise on contracts and business activities for compliance.
Develop and implement legal policies, compliance programs, and training.
Advise onsite specialty pharmacy on federal/state pharmacy laws, including DEA regulations.
Coordinate licensure, permits, and audits across jurisdictions.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts.
