Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Associate General Counsel to lead legal strategy for the U.S. Market Access and Pricing function within Global Commercial Legal.

The role focuses on payor strategies, regulatory issues, and contracting with government, payors, and trade partners. Responsibilities include advising on the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and competition law, and providing strategic counsel to senior leadership on pricing matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from ABA-accredited law school and in good standing.
• Minimum of 8+ years of relevant legal experience, pharma experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial payor and trade contracting and evolving regulatory landscape.
• Strong communication skills for high-visibility projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as business counsel for Market Access concerning legal, regulatory, and contracting strategies.
• Advise on Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and competition law matters.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management on pricing and access matters.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate complex government, payor, and trade agreements.
• Develop deep knowledge of AbbVie's business and adapt to regulatory changes affecting clients.
