U.S. Soccer Federation is seeking a Senior Counsel, Technology & Privacy to lead data governance, privacy, and product counseling.

You will guide engineering and product teams, draft complex tech agreements, and manage regulatory risk in a fast-paced sports environment. The role requires substantial in-house privacy and technology experience, strong collaboration across departments, and the ability to translate legal requirements into practical business guidance.

Qualifikationen

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. license.
• 8–10 years of legal privacy/technology experience, including product counseling.
• In-house privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity knowledge.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements for technical teams.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001; capable of policy design.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead privacy and data protection counseling for products and platforms.
• Draft and negotiate technology and data-related agreements.
• Advise on regulatory readiness, incidents, and risk management.
• Partner with Product and IT to embed privacy by design across lifecycle.
• Provide training and guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Support enterprise privacy governance and vendor management.
