Bristol Myers Squibb in Lawrenceville, NJ, Madison, NJ, or Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel, Business Development Transactions Law, to provide senior-level legal counsel on licensing, collaborations, mergers & acquisitions, divestitures and equity investments.

You will lead complex deals end-to-end, mentor junior attorneys, coordinate cross-functional teams, and advise senior business leaders while upholding BMS values in a hybrid work environment.

Qualificações

• J.D. degree and admission to a state bar.
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience in biopharmaceutical/life sciences.
• Lead counsel on licensing, collaboration, and M&A transactions from term sheet through closing.
• Strong executive presence with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor other business development attorneys and contract professionals.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of business development and corporate development transactions—from term sheet through execution.
• Define the diligence scope and issue-escalation path for legal due diligence with cross-functional input.
• Coordinate antitrust and regulatory strategy and advise on escalation points.
• Own the legal handoff of newly executed transactions to Alliance Management post‑signing.
• Oversee external counsel relationships and ensure timely, cost‑effective support.
• Mentor other attorneys and contract professionals, upholding drafting standards.
• Monitor contract law developments and advise on templates and negotiation positions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for contracting and alliance management processes.
