Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in New Jersey is seeking a Counsel, Global Product Development to provide strategic, regulatory, and transactional counsel across the PD lifecycle, including significant alliance and collaboration agreements.

The role partners with senior leaders to structure, negotiate, and draft complex agreements, including development, manufacturing, and supply transactions, and to guide asset integration and BD opportunities.

Qualifications

• JD (or equivalent) and admission to good standing to a US state bar, with NJ eligibility.
• 6+ years of legal experience across law firm, in-house, or government in pharma or life sciences.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex PD and commercial agreements.
• Familiarity with intellectual property law and ability to advise senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal advisor to Global Product Development and counsel senior executives on high-value transactions.
• Negotiate and draft development and supply agreements with internal and external partners.
• Support due diligence on BD opportunities and asset integrations into PD.
• Draft secondary agreements arising from BD deals, including assignments and licenses.
• Advise on manufacturing strategy and enterprise-wide transactional support.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Partner with IP colleagues to protect and leverage PD innovations.
• Lead process optimization and integration initiatives across the enterprise.
• Deliver coordinated legal advice with Law & Policy and business teams.
