Job summary

Mastercard in Purchase, NY seeks a Senior Counsel, Regulatory - Technology to lead regulatory strategy impacting technology infrastructure and enterprise resilience. You will partner with Legal, Technology Risk, and Compliance to translate complex rules into actionable controls.

You will oversee global regulatory programmes, engage regulators, advise on contracts, and drive cross‑functional alignment to enable business growth while meeting evolving standards.

Qualifications

• JD from a reputable law school.
• Experience with infrastructure, technology, operational and enterprise resilience, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into clear operational guidance for tech/infrastructure teams.
• Experience in regulatory roles in corporate, law firm or government, esp. payments/financial services.
• Proven ability to influence executives and regulators globally.
• Experience leading global regulatory strategy in highly regulated environments.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution and interpretation of regulatory obligations across infrastructure/technology and resilience.
• Translate regulatory requirements into technology control frameworks with risk teams.
• Coordinate with regulators globally to provide guidance on technology and infrastructure regimes.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with legal on regulatory requirements of tech contracts.
• Define and implement scalable regulatory approaches to manage enterprise risk from evolving rules.
• Oversee enterprise execution with Regulatory and Technology teams for coordinated compliance.
