Cohere is seeking a Senior Counsel, Product and Technology to shape the legal framework for product development and commercialization. You will guide IP strategy, OSS compliance, and contract terms, enabling rapid market delivery while managing risk.

The role collaborates with product, engineering, and business teams across SaaS, Cloud, and on-prem deployments, with formal leadership in a fast-paced environment. Remote-friendly with strong benefits.

Formación

• 7+ years of legal experience in technology transactions and product counseling.
• Qualified to practice in US, Canada, UK, or EU.
• Expertise in technology contracts, IP law, and commercial agreements.
• Experience advising enterprise software companies across SaaS, Cloud, and On-prem.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles and product roadmaps.
• Open source software compliance and third-party integration experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and business teams.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Create standardized product contract templates, playbooks, and guidelines.
• Provide strategic guidance on IP risks across Cohere's product portfolio.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks throughout the product lifecycle with regulatory input.
• Lead legal input ahead of product launches with internal and external counsel.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and BD for early legal input on design and strategy.
• Stay current on technology regulations and assess impact on development and commercialization.
• Advise internal teams on key legal considerations for product development and commercialization.
