Job summary
LOVB Miami is seeking a Senior Counsel to support the LOVB Pro League across commercial partnerships, marketing, IP, league operations, and sports matters. You will draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements and provide practical guidance that aligns with business objectives while managing risk.
Reporting to the VP, Legal & Business Affairs, the ideal candidate has strong contract drafting, negotiation skills, and experience in professional sports; familiarity with privacy and data security
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active bar license in at least one US jurisdiction; NY license preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience; national law firm experience preferred.
- Experience working with professional sports teams or leagues.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including sponsorships, venue and procurement contracts, marketing, ticketing, licenses and services.
- Counsel internal teams on rights, obligations, interpretations and risk; coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
- Oversee data privacy and security aspects; review technology agreements and league policies.
- Draft, review and negotiate athlete and sporting staff agreements as requested.
