Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Counsel, Transactions to identify, draft, and negotiate highly complex corporate transactions, including M&A and pharmaceutical licensing and collaboration agreements. You will manage due diligence, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and lead outside counsel on major deals that impact AbbVie's portfolio.

You will advise management on legal risk, stay current on regulatory developments, and ensure compliance with internal policies while supporting strategic business

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with managing M&A and pharmaceutical licensing and collaboration/joint venture transactions.
• Knowledge of antitrust/competition laws and other corporate/IP matters.
• Ability to independently negotiate sophisticated agreements and manage external counsel.
• Strong ability to interpret complex agreements and advise on transactional issues.
