Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Senior Counsel to support its Enterprise Procurement Legal function. You will counsel BTS, HR/Benefits, Professional Services, and Meetings & Events, handling a high volume of matters with strategic, timely outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in corporate or transactional law within pharma/healthcare, strong negotiation, drafting, and client-communication skills, and a JD with bar certification.

Qualifications

• JD degree and state bar certification required.
• 5+ years of corporate or general transactional law or litigation experience, preferably in pharma/healthcare.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and counseling clients on diverse business issues.
• Knowledge of data privacy, cybersecurity, AI and IP is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and negotiate complex commercial and technology agreements.
• Provide counsel to Procurement and related business functions on transactions and disputes.
• Manage paralegal, external counsel and contract attorney activities.
• Represent AbbVie externally to customers, suppliers, and competitors.
