Kaiser Permanente in the Mid-Atlantic region seeks a Senior Counsel to manage a portfolio of complex litigation, including medical malpractice claims in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. You will oversee outside counsel relationships and serve as a trusted legal advisor to operational leaders, risk professionals, and clinical leaders across KP.

Formación

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in litigation.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Participates in creation, review, and negotiation of legal documents; provides highly technical guidance.
• Performs and analyzes legal research; informs cross-functional stakeholders for strategy decisions.
• Assesses legal risk; guides senior stakeholders; manages outside counsel on complex matters.
• Contributes to legal planning and regulatory strategy; collaborates across departments to address risk.

Educación

Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent
