Job summary

OpenAI seeks a senior infrastructure transactions lawyer to lead commercial strategy and execution across its AI infrastructure ecosystem. The role partners with procurement, supply chain, partnerships, finance, and product teams to structure, negotiate, and manage complex agreements.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in technology transactions, a JD and California license, and experience in both in-house and top-tier firms. Hybrid work model with relocation assistance is offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal experience focused on technology transactions and commercial contracting.
• JD and license to practice in CA.
• Mix of in-house and top-tier law firm experience.
• Experience advising on cross-border deals and global regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial legal strategy and risk management for OpenAI infrastructure transactions.
• Draft, negotiate, and advise on complex infrastructure agreements.
• Support partnerships involving AI infrastructure and hardware supply chains.
• Develop procurement, licensing, and collaboration frameworks.
• Align contract terms with finance and operations.
• Collaborate on global regulatory/regulatory compliance issues affecting supply chains.
