Job summary

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel – Litigation to join its growing Legal Department in a hybrid role based at the Pasadena headquarters.

This hands-on employment litigator will own matters from strategy to resolution and interact directly with business leaders. The ideal candidate has substantial employment litigation experience, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage cases with limited oversight while mentoring others within a growing in-house

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with active California Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of seven years of relevant litigation experience, especially employment matters.
• Ability to manage cases independently, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations/arbitrations, and trial prep.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage employment litigation, administrative claims, regulatory inquiries and audits, internal investigations, wage claims, and related disputes from inception through resolution.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with business priorities and risk-management goals.
• Lead law‑and‑motion and discovery work, including drafting motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions; lead mediations/arbitrations.
• Evaluate claims, negotiate settlements when appropriate, and communicate case status to leadership.
• Provide practical advice on litigation risk and compliance to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with outside counsel when needed and support traditional labor matters as required.
• Mentor less-experienced attorneys or staff and contribute to departmental initiatives.
