Job summary

Zones, LLC seeks a Corporate Attorney to provide practical, business-minded counsel across commercial transactions, government and public sector contracting, and corporate matters. You will draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements and guide risk mitigation in collaboration with Sales, Finance, Procurement, and Operations.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D., is admitted to a U.S. state bar, and has 7+ years of experience in commercial contracts, including public sector work.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience, with a mix of law firm and in-house preferred.
• Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sophisticated commercial contracts.
• Experience supporting public sector/government contracting; federal contracting a plus.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Experience negotiating vendor, supplier, partner, and commercial customer agreements.
• Strong analytical, judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of complex commercial agreements and master services agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on risk, liability, indemnification, IP, insurance, data protection, and termination rights.
• Support government/public sector contracting with federal, state, and local entities.
• Draft and maintain contract templates and negotiation guidelines.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Procurement, Operations, Risk, and leadership to enable business growth.
