Ford Motor Company is seeking a transaction-focused attorney to join the Office of the General Counsel as Lead Counsel, Transactions and Market Compliance. The role provides practical, business-oriented legal support to Ford Corporate Development, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functions on U.S.

and cross-border matters, including mergers, divestitures, joint ventures, and complex commercial arrangements.

Qualifications

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, problem solving, and business judgment skills.
• Licensed to practice law in the United States with bar admission.
• At least 5 years of experience in U.S. and global mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and complex commercial transactions.

Responsabilités

• Lead legal workstreams on domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, minority investments, collaborations, and JVs.
• Draft, review, and negotiate relevant agreements and transaction documents.
• Provide legal support for global supply chain transactions and supplier matters.
• Negotiate with counterparties, suppliers, and JV partners in the U.S. and internationally.
• Advise business teams on risk, governance, and execution strategy.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and legal tech to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with paralegals and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality support.
