Ford Motor Company seeks a transaction-focused attorney to join the Office of the General Counsel as Lead Counsel, Transactions and Market Compliance. You will provide business-oriented legal support to Corporate Development, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functions on U.S.

and cross-border matters, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and complex commercial arrangements. This hands-on role requires experience handling senior-level transactions, drafting and negotiating documents,

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active U.S. State Bar in good standing.
• At least 5 years of experience in U.S. and global M&A and complex transactions.
• Experience advising on global supply chains and related commercial matters.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsabilités

• Lead or co-lead legal workstreams on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, minority investments, collaborations, and joint ventures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate relevant transaction documents.
• Support Ford's global supply chain, including supplier disputes and template/process improvements.
• Negotiate with counterparties domestically and internationally with sound judgment.
• Balance legal risk with commercial objectives and provide practical guidance.
• Prepare recommendations and leadership briefing materials for management.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and legal tech to improve speed and quality.
• Collaborate with legal teams and paralegals to deliver coordinated support.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on transaction, regulatory, compliance matters.
• Help manage outside counsel scope, budgets, timelines, and quality.
• Contribute to templates, playbooks, and precedent libraries for efficiency.
• Support enterprise priorities in electrification, software, energy, autonomy, and related programs.
