Job summary

Emerson seeks a Senior Associate General Counsel, Regulatory Compliance to lead global privacy and technology law initiatives from one of our US offices. You will guide executive teams, manage a regional legal group, and oversee outside counsel to ensure compliance with evolving laws.

The role requires a law degree, bar admission, and 12+ years in commercial/international settings. Travel up to 10% is expected; sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law and a JD from an accredited law school.
• Extensive experience in commercial and international law (in-house or private practice).
• Excellent oral and written English with strong communication to senior leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior level advice on complex regulatory matters, including cybersecurity and data privacy.
• Lead a regional team of legal professionals and manage outside counsel.
• Develop and implement Emerson’s compliance programs and policies.
• Train business units and legal staff on applicable regulations and best practices.
• Monitor evolving privacy and cybersecurity laws and coordinate cross‑functional responses.
