Job summary

Qualifications

• 6-12 years of law firm/internal counsel experience in payments/financial services.
• Solid understanding of banking laws and regulations impacting cash management.
• Demonstrated drafting and negotiation skills with a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and support to GPS on payments, merchant services, treasury, and related areas.
• Review and negotiate legal documents and customer-facing agreements; advise on risk and compliance.
• Direct outside counsel and support internal staff to manage legal risk.
• Advise on domestic and international payment systems and infrastructure like Fedwire/CHIPS/SWIFT.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, and business stakeholders to mitigate risks.
• Support development of innovative digital payments initiatives and tokenized assets.
