Job summary

Bank of America seeks an experienced attorney to provide legal counsel for the Global Payments Solutions (GPS) business. You will handle legal, regulatory, and commercial matters across payments, merchant services, deposits, and treasury solutions.

You will review and negotiate documents, guide internal partners, and provide practical risk-based advice to enable business growth while ensuring compliance. Collaboration with risk, compliance, and business teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 6-12 years of law firm and/or internal counsel experience in the payments or financial services industry.
• Solid understanding of banking laws, regulations and rules impacting cash management services.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal counsel and support to GPS on payments, merchant services, commercial card, deposits, liquidity management, and related solutions.
• Negotiates legal documents and customer-facing agreements; interprets laws and regulations.
• Directs outside counsel and other legal staff; offers risk-based, practical legal advice to facilitate business growth.
