Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced attorney to provide legal counsel and support to the Global Payments Solutions (GPS) business on legal, regulatory, and commercial matters. You will review documents, negotiate agreements, interpret laws, perform research, and advise internal partners to facilitate business growth while managing regulatory risk.

The role requires coordinating with outside counsel and other legal staff, including leading on digital assets and emerging payment

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent in law.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• 6–12 years of law firm and/or internal counsel experience in payments/financial services.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes legal issues and implications on GPS products and services.
• Provides clear, actionable legal advice to leadership and partners.
• Interprets laws from compliance and business-control perspectives.
• Directs outside counsel and coordinates with paralegals and peers.
• Advises on domestic and international payment systems and infrastructure.
