Job summary

The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law seeks a Senior Counsel for the Digital Justice Initiative in Washington, DC. You will lead high-impact litigation at the intersection of technology, equity, and justice, reporting to the Director and handling matters from strategy through execution.

You will supervise case teams, draft key memoranda and pleadings, and engage with clients and co-counsel. A strong background in civil rights, data privacy, and algorithmic bias is essential, with 9+

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active DC bar membership or the ability to waive in.
• At least 9 years post-JD litigation experience.
• Experience leading complex litigation matters or workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Litigate in federal and/or state courts.
• Develop and execute litigation and advocacy strategies.
• Lead case teams, set priorities and timelines.
• Research, write memos, briefs, and court filings.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate across units.
• Engage in public speaking and publish analyses.
