049 ATTORNEY GENERAL, located in Oklahoma City/Tulsa, seeks an Assistant Attorney General for the Consumer Protection, Antitrust and Complex Litigation Unit. The role requires strong legal judgment, research, and advocacy skills, with responsibilities spanning investigations, enforcement actions, and multistate coordination.

Qualified candidates must have a J.D. degree, a valid license to practice law, and at least five years of experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with a minimum of five years in the practice of law.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills required.
• Preference given to supervisory and/or litgation experience.

Responsabilités

• Conduct civil investigations drawn from CPU complaint data and information from multistate working groups, including drafting civil investigative demands and taking sworn statements.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support case preparation and strategy for CPU enforcement actions.
• Prepare and file civil enforcement actions; conduct civil discovery, including drafting responses, document review, and depositions; draft motions; represent the office in court hearings and settlement conferences.
• Participate in multistate investigations of potential wrongful conduct by national or regional businesses, including conference calls and evaluation of proposed settlements.
• Collaborate with counterparts in other states to investigate and litigate unlawful practices on regional and national scales.
• Prepare weekly reports updating leadership on current and upcoming cases and developments; perform other duties as assigned.
