Job summary

The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is seeking an Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Protection/Antitrust and Complex Litigation unit in Oklahoma City or Tulsa.

The role conducts civil litigation to enforce consumer protection and antitrust laws, with responsibilities including investigations, discovery, filings, hearings, and trial work.

Ideal candidates have strong writing and oral advocacy skills, at least five years of legal experience, and a willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with a minimum of five years of experience in the practice of law.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills are required.
• Supervisory experience and/or litigation experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct civil investigations by drafting and issuing civil investigative demands and taking sworn statements.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support case strategy for CPU enforcement actions.
• Prepare and file civil enforcement actions; conduct discovery, draft motions, and represent the office in court hearings and settlements; take matters to trial as needed.
• Participate in multistate investigations, conference calls, document review, and evaluation of proposed settlement terms.
• May require travel within and outside the state.
