Job summary

The State of Oklahoma is seeking an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General, working from Oklahoma City or Tulsa, to lead consumer protection, antitrust, and complex litigation efforts. The role involves civil investigations, enforcement actions, discovery, and trial work within a multistate context.

Applicants must be licensed attorneys with at least five years of experience and strong writing/oral advocacy skills; supervisory or litigation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with a minimum of five (5) years of practice.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Preference for supervisory experience and/or litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct civil investigations using CPU data and multistate groups; draft civil investigative demands; take sworn statements.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support case preparation and strategy for CPU enforcement actions.
• Prepare and file civil enforcement actions; conduct civil discovery; draft motions; represent the office in court hearings and settlements; take matters to trial as needed.
• Participate in multistate investigations of potential wrongful conduct; evaluate settlements and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with counterparts in other states to investigate and, as necessary, litigate unlawful practices on regional and national scales.
• Prepare weekly reports updating the Attorney General and leadership on current and upcoming cases and developments.
• Other duties as assigned.
