Job summary

Partner Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Servicing in the United States to lead legal guidance for a high-volume consumer finance servicing operations. The role blends regulatory expertise with practical business advice across loan servicing, collections, loss mitigation, and default management, partnering with operations, capital markets, and vendors.

Ideal candidate will own complex positions, translate Reg X/RESPA, TILA, FDCPA into actionable policy, and drive compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of legal experience in consumer loan servicing or mortgage finance.
• In-house experience in consumer finance or servicer/subservicer preferred.
• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited school; active state bar.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day counsel on loan servicing and collections.
• Develop and implement servicing policies and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate vendor agreements with third-party collectors and servicers.
• Support regulatory examinations and responses to inquiries.
• Advise on AI governance implications in collections and finance.
