Job summary
CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) is seeking a Sr. Counsel, Commercial Transactions to lead complex insurance distribution arrangements, reinsurance, and multi-party programs.
The role focuses on sophisticated commercial insurance transactions, with remote work available across the United States (excluding HI/AK). You will partner with business units to structure, draft, and negotiate agreements, advise on regulatory and risk implications, and support process improvements within the Legal
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in good standing.
- At least 10 years of experience in a relevant practice area.
- Strong knowledge of current law in the area of specialty.
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements.
- Advise on reinsurance transactions, including inbound, outbound, catastrophe, and opportunistic reinsurance.
- Structure multi-party insurance programs and commercial transactions with various arrangements.
- Coordinate interrelated agreements and translate new business models into legal structures.
- Partner across the organization on strategic initiatives and other commercial contract work.
- Participate in process-improvement initiatives and adopt new tools for legal services.
