Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG), a AAA insurer, seeks a Sr. Counsel, Commercial Transactions for a remote role nationwide (excluding Hawaii and Alaska).

The primary focus is sophisticated insurance transactions—not policies—including distribution arrangements, reinsurance, and complex programs. You will lead structuring, drafting, and negotiation of multi-party contracts, partner with business teams to translate models into clear risk allocations, and drive process improvements across the legal

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in good standing in the state of residency.
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant practice area.
• Substantial knowledge of current law and issues within area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements.
• Advise on reinsurance transactions, including inbound, outbound, catastrophe, and opportunistic reinsurance.
• Structure multi-party insurance programs and commercial transactions with various program structures.
• Coordinate suites of interrelated agreements and translate business models into workable legal structures.
• Partner across the organization on strategic initiatives and contribute to other areas handled by the team.
