Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG), a AAA insurer, is seeking a Sr. Counsel, Commercial Transactions for a remote role across the United States, with Hawaii/Alaska exception.

The role leads the structuring, drafting and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements, including agency, reinsurance, and multi-party programs, partnering with business groups to translate models into enforceable contracts.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with bar admission.
• 10+ years of experience in relevant practice area.
• Substantial knowledge of current law and issues within area of specialty.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an organized, effective, and timely manner.
• Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements.
• Advise on reinsurance transactions, inbound and outbound.
• Structure complex, multi-party insurance programs and commercial transactions.
• Coordinate suites of interrelated agreements and translate models into legal structures.
• Partner across the organization on strategic initiatives and other areas handled by the team.
• Participate in process-improvement and adoption of new tools for delivering legal services.
