CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) is seeking a Sr. Counsel, Commercial Transactions, remote in the United States.

This senior attorney will lead structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements and multi-party programs, including reinsurance and fleet programs. You will work with business partners to translate new business models into clear contractual allocations of risk, exposure, and responsibilities, while collaborating on process improvements and broader

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in good standing.
10+ years of experience in a relevant practice area.
Substantial knowledge of current law and issues within area of specialty.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an organized, effective, and timely manner.
Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements, including agency and aggregator relationships.
Advise on reinsurance transactions, including inbound, outbound, catastrophe, and opportunistic reinsurance.
Structure complex, multi-party insurance programs and commercial transactions, including fleet programs and related agreements.
Coordinate suites of interrelated agreements and translate novel business models into workable legal structures.
Partner across the organization on strategic initiatives and other commercial contracts, IP, and marketing matters.
Participate in Legal department and company process-improvement initiatives, including adoption of new tools and approaches to delivering legal services.
