Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a practical, business-focused healthcare attorney to serve as Senior Counsel, At-Home Solutions. This role supports DMEPOS, At-Home, and VeloCare businesses, handling commercial contracting, strategic relationships, and operational matters during acquisition and integration stages.

The candidate will draft and negotiate agreements, assess contract risk, and provide actionable advice to enable growth while maintaining compliance across regulated healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school required.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction required.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare legal experience, preferably in DMEPOS, healthcare distribution, medical products, logistics, home-based care, pharmacy, technology, or similar regulated areas.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience advising on customer- and vendor-facing commercial arrangements preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare fraud and abuse, privacy, billing and reimbursement, licensure, or similar laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day commercial legal partner for one or more At-Home Solutions businesses with practical, risk-tailored advice.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts across customer, supplier, vendor, manufacturer, distribution, services, technology, logistics, and strategic relationships.
• Counsel on contract risk, new services, commercial models, operational changes, and contracting strategies.
• Identify legal and compliance issues, communicate risks clearly, and involve subject-matter experts when needed.
• Support strategic projects, integrations, technology implementations, and service launches.
• Collaborate with Privacy, Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Regulatory, and Compliance to structure commercial arrangements.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and training to improve speed and consistency.
• Manage multiple matters with timely, responsive support and escalation of significant risks.
