Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a practical, business-oriented healthcare attorney to serve as Senior Counsel for At-Home Solutions. The role supports DMEPOS, At-Home, and VeloCare ventures, including acquisitions, integration, and new services.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day commercial legal support, draft and negotiate agreements, and collaborate with Privacy, Sourcing, Operations, and Compliance teams to enable growth while managing risk.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school required.
• Active license to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction required.
• A minimum of 5 years of healthcare legal experience preferred, including time supporting DMEPOS, healthcare distribution, medical products, logistics, home-based care, pharmacy, technology, or other regulated businesses.
• Meaningful experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience advising on customer- and vendor-facing commercial arrangements preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare fraud and abuse, privacy, billing and reimbursement, licensure, or related laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day commercial legal partner for one or more At-Home Solutions businesses, providing practical, risk-tailored advice on commercial and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements across customer, supplier, vendor, manufacturer, distribution, services, technology, logistics, and strategic relationships.
• Counsel the business on contract risk, new services, commercial models, operational changes, customer requirements, contracting strategies, and interpretation of existing agreements.
• Identify relevant legal and compliance issues, communicate risks and options clearly, and involve subject-matter experts when needed.
• Support strategic projects, integrations, technology implementations, service launches, disputes, interpretation questions, and issue resolution.
• Work with Privacy, Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Regulatory, Compliance, and other partners to structure commercial arrangements.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, intake processes, and training to improve speed, consistency, and risk management.
• Manage multiple matters and competing priorities with timely, responsive support.
