Compeer Financial is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for Ag Lending to provide senior legal counsel on complex matters across agricultural lending and related financial services. You will draft, negotiate, and review contracts, guide risk management, and align legal advice with business strategy.

You will support lending teams on collateral, loan structures, and regulatory compliance, partnering with executives to balance risk and growth in a hybrid work environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree and JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in IL, WI, or MN.
• Expert-level experience in legal roles, preferably in regulated financial institutions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior legal counsel and strategic advice to executives.
• Draft, negotiate and review complex contracts related to loans, leases, insurance, and services.
• Support agricultural lending teams with legal strategy on collateral, loan structure, and servicing actions.
• Maintain and improve template lending documents for consistency and risk control.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the organization.
