Compeer Financial is seeking a senior legal counsel to independently manage complex legal matters across business units and provide strategic guidance to executives. You will draft, negotiate, and review a broad range of contracts while supporting the organization’s agricultural lending activities.

The role sits within the growing legal and compliance team, offering a hybrid work model and collaborative cross-functional work environment in the Midwest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Professional license to practice law in MN, WI or IL.
• Experience in law firm, corporate legal dept, or regulated financial institution.

Responsabilités

• Provide senior legal counsel and strategic advice to executives and leaders.
• Draft, negotiate and review a wide array of commercial contracts.
• Advise on legal and regulatory risks across business units.
• Support agricultural lending teams with legal strategy and guidance.
