AbbVie is seeking an Senior Architect, COTS Applications to lead architectural direction for the group\'s COTS portfolio, shaping strategy and roadmaps across integrations and vendor ecosystems. You will guide a team of architects, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards, security, and compliance while delivering scalable, modern platforms.

The role combines hands-on COTS expertise with strategic influence, partnering with BRMs, BSCs, BSAs, and software engineers to translate business goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with extensive architecture experience in COTS and enterprise integration.
• Experience leading architects or senior technologists and coordinating across portfolio stakeholders.
• Deep expertise in modern COTS and integration practices, including api-driven and security-by-design approaches.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a team of architects responsible for COTS applications, integrations, and the technology roadmap.
• Define and advance COTS application and integration strategies into multi-year roadmaps.
• Provide architectural leadership across programs—from vendor selection to lifecycle management—ensuring cohesive, future-ready designs.
• Establish what good looks like for COTS architecture and reference patterns.
• Collaborate with BRMs, BSCs, BSAs, and software teams to align business outcomes with architectural direction.
• Act as senior architectural authority in governance forums and decision frameworks.
• Guide modernization, resilience, and security/compliance in complex environments.
• Mentor architects to raise overall architectural maturity.
