Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Cost Manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control, cost planning, and initiating change forms.
• Chartered or on path to chartered status.
• Degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, priority-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in tender/bid process from documentation to analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process and implement changes affecting project cost.
• Analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in preparation and agreement of final accounts, including claims.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend with valuations and cost reports; communicate variations clearly.
• Support project management with cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims.
