Job summary

Turner & Townsend is a global professional services firm specializing in cost management for retail construction projects. The Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor will serve as the key client interface, delivering value-added services and leading cost management efforts across complex programs.

The role requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills, independence with collaboration, and experience supporting retail construction programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost management in the construction industry.
• RICS accredited or working towards it is preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium or large construction projects of medium to high complexity.
• Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Korean with the ability to track and communicate effectively (appearance of Korean language requirement in listing).

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
• Review and participate with the design services team and general contractor in cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure data accuracy.
• Gather status information to prepare a cost estimate update and communicate with stakeholders.
• Prepare written comments to contractor submissions and executive summaries.
• Coordinate cost information from various sources for discussions with suppliers and subs.
• Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
• Manage cost checks and valuations on larger projects with timely reporting.
