Job summary

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services firm, seeks a Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our Denver-area team. You will deliver cost management, commercial leadership, and advisory services across data center, infrastructure, and corporate real estate programs.

Responsibilities include estimating and negotiating change orders, cost planning, and maintaining robust cost validation processes while partnering with clients and design teams from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of cost management experience on medium to large construction projects.
• RICS accreditation preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide cost planning and final cost estimates.
• Review and participate with design services teams and general contractor in cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimates updates and communicate with stakeholders.
• Coordinate all sources of cost information for discussions with suppliers and subs.
• Inform and drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
• Manage cost checks and valuations on larger projects with timely, accurate processes.
• Post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
• Prepare funding data and coordinate VE sessions with stakeholders.
• Develop cost plans through design phases and milestones.
• Provide commercial input to value engineering exercises.
• Review contractor pricing and lead negotiations to drive fair prices.
