Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support a large-scale hyperscale data center program. This role is based in the Chicago, IL area with monthly travel to the project site near St. Louis, MO. You will lead cost planning, procurement strategy, change management and commercial governance, delivering accurate estimates, robust reporting, and strong client communication to drive value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering.
• Minimum 6–7 years of cost management / project controls experience.
• Data center or mission-critical/industrial project experience preferred.
• RICS accreditation preferred.
• Excellent client-facing communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management delivery across a large-scale data center program.
• Develop estimates and cost plans through design stages.
• Manage change orders end-to-end and support procurement.
• Provide commercial input to design optioneering and VE.
• Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, and risk registers.
