Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to act as a key client contact, delivering high-quality cost management services for major construction projects in Atlanta. The role leads cost and commercial activities across the project lifecycle, partnering with design teams, contractors, and owners to ensure cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within construction.
• RICS accreditation, or progress toward accreditation, preferred.
• Experience leading cost management activities on medium to large-scale projects with moderate to high complexity.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Providing estimate and cost planning services, including final cost plans.
• Reviewing and collaborating with design teams and general contractors on cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist contractors to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimate updates after meetings with contractors, owners, and project managers.
• Prepare written reviews and executive summaries for contractor submissions.
• Coordinate cost information from multiple sources including contractors and design teams.
• Inform and drive engineering priorities based on cost impacts.
• Manage cost checks and valuations on complex projects.
• Support post-contract cost variance analysis and change control processes.
• Prepare funding presentations and value engineering sessions.
• Develop cost plans and estimates through design milestones and updates.
