Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) seeks a Senior Cost Manager, Project Controls to lead cost estimation, budgeting and risk analysis for diverse office, cultural, hospitality, healthcare, and life sciences projects. You will supervise teams, prepare detailed cost plans from concept through construction, conduct value engineering, review change orders, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

This role demands strong client and executive communication and a proven on-time, on-budget

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an Estimator, Cost Manager, or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in surveying, architecture, engineering, or construction management.
• Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to client and team to achieve project goals.
• Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and planning concepts.
• Ability to generate AACE level 1-5 cost evaluations.
• Expertise in estimating software and benchmarking tools.
• Ability to lead teams and interact with clients while translating outputs into marketable deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction cost and project cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents.
• Understand and relay local market pricing for material, labor, and equipment using published documents, historical data, and market studies.
• Provide value engineering services and design option reviews and conduct bid analysis.
• Review change orders and assist in change management assessing whether changes are within scope of base work.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and monitor their implementation with project stakeholders.
• Review and analyze project documentation to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to project controls.
