Job summary

TerraPower seeks a Cost Manager for the PMO in Bellevue, WA. You will lead cost estimating, budgeting, and risk management for advanced nuclear projects, including Natrium.

The role requires senior-level oversight of cost baselines, CPI tracking, and cross-team collaboration to ensure data integrity and informed decision-making. Qualified candidates will have 10+ years in cost management, proficiency with COBRA, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project, plus strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cost management, estimating, and risk analysis.
• Proficiency in cost management tools (e.g., COBRA).
• Experience planning, executing, or control of a first-of-a-kind project exceeding $100M in budget over multiple years with 100+ multi-disciplinary team members.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and practices.
• Risk management skills and experience executing risk management plans.
• 5+ years managing staff in cost management, risk management, or project controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with stakeholders.
• Experience with advanced nuclear projects (preferred).
• High degree of trust and integrity, open communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee project cost baselines, budgets, and forecasts.
• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and benchmarking activities.
• Track and report cost performance, including CPI metrics.
• Manage risk analyses, mitigation strategies, and risk trending.
• Collaborate with project teams to assess cost impacts of change requests.
• Standardize cost management tools, templates, and processes for consistency.
• Provide mentorship and training to estimators, cost engineers, and risk managers.
