Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on industrial and maritime construction projects. You will manage cost estimation, planning, procurement, change management, commercial closeout, and final accounts with a focus on value delivery for clients.

The role requires strong communication, independence, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• 5–7 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred or working towards it.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects of medium to high complexity.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning including final cost plan development.
• Review with design teams and general contractor on cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and ensure data accuracy with contractors.
• Prepare cost estimate updates and executive summaries for stakeholders.
• Coordinate sources of cost information for discussions with subs and suppliers.
• Develop cost plans through design phases and provide commercial input to optioneering.
