Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support a large hyperscale data center program at an active Abilene, TX campus. You will drive disciplined cost controls, maintain budgets, and coordinate with site teams, designers, contractors, and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years in cost management on major projects, strong analytics, and expertise across civil, structural, and MEP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 5-7+ years of cost management or project controls on large builds.
• Experience with data center, industrial, or campus-scale projects preferred.
• Consultancy experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of civil, structural, and MEP construction.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control systems.
• Experience in procurement support and contract management.
• RICS accreditation preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans, budgets, and estimates across design and construction.
• Prepare and present monthly cost reports, forecasts, and executive summaries.
• Coordinate cost data from designers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for validation.
• Lead procurement support activities and commercial negotiations for major trade packages.
• Manage final accounts and drive timely agreement across contractors and phases.
• Oversee full change-management workflow and cost-control systems.
