Job summary

Decima International is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead on-site cost control for diverse projects across Texas. You will supervise cost governance, forecasts, and reporting while coordinating with project teams to ensure financial discipline.

The role requires 10+ years in cost management, strong analytics, and client-facing leadership. On-site positions are available in Amarillo, TX or South Padre Island, TX with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cost control or cost engineering experience in the construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Finance, or related technical fields.
• Experience in hyperscale data centers or large-scale, mission-critical projects.
• Extensive experience using cost management software and tools such as SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced knowledge of cost management principles, including forecasting, variance analysis, change management, and project financial reporting.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale project budgets and resolving complex cost discrepancies.
• Strong ability to interpret financial data, develop insights, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to engage with clients and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee regional/project cost control functions across projects.
• Develop and maintain cost control systems and tools, including cost reports and forecasts.
• Coordinate with regional managers, engineers and finance to monitor data, identify variances and guide corrective actions.
• Present monthly and quarterly cost performance reports highlighting EVA, variances, and trends.
• Oversee tracking of budgets and schedules, identify risks, and approve mitigation strategies.
• Mentor junior cost control personnel within the region.
