Job summary

Turner & Townsend in San Francisco seeks a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to support cost management across a diverse construction portfolio. You will liaise with clients, project teams, and vendors to maintain budgets, mitigate risks, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in cost management, strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with exposure to major capital projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred or in progress.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large, high-complexity projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on procurement strategies and manage vendor selection.
• Develop and review project estimates, perform value engineering and risk assessments.
• Manage cost reporting, budgets, forecasts, and commercial risk registers.
• Oversee cost control, change orders, entitlements, and payment assessments.
• Lead final account negotiations and post-contract closeout.
• Conduct post-contract reviews and capture lessons learned.
