OCMI, Inc. (OCMI) is headquartered in San Francisco and seeks a Senior Cost Estimator/Manager to lead estimating efforts for large healthcare programs. You will oversee QA, develop cost strategies, manage reconciliations, and collaborate with clients, A/E consultants, and project stakeholders.

You will integrate with a team of cost management, project management, and scheduling professionals, handling complex, high-profile projects and opportunities for career growth within a privately held firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years aggregate construction experience in cost management or estimating roles.
• Direct experience with HCAI healthcare projects required.
• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or architecture or 5 years relevant trade experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent the firm to clients and partners as the lead OCMI representative.
• Lead cost deliverables, presentations, and negotiations.
• Provide detailed quantity take-off and preliminary pricing for varied projects.
• Review and interpret drawings to define project scope.
• Develop cost estimates/models and communicate client goals.
• Facilitate document control, file management, and collaboration.

We’re excited to welcome a Senior Cost Estimator/Manager to our growing team. We’re seeking candidates based in San Francisco, California, with experience in HCAI healthcare projects to join our cost management and estimating practice. In this role, you’ll lead comprehensive estimating efforts, oversee quality control, develop and communicate cost strategies, manage estimate reconciliations, and collaborate closely with clients, A/E consultants, and project stakeholders. Responsibilities:

• Represent the firm to clients, peer organizations, and business associates with the values of OCMI
• Be capable of explaining cost deliverables, processes, and justifications in a formal meeting, presentation, or negotiation as the lead OCMI representative.
• Provide detailed quantity take-off and preliminary pricing for a variety of construction project types.
• Review and interpret construction drawings to understand the overall project scope.
• Support development of comprehensive cost estimates/models communicating the client’s project and strategic goals.
• Facilitate document control, file management, and project collaboration.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 15 years aggregate construction experience as a cost manager /estimating/preconstruction manager professional, preferably as a consultant or for a large national general contractor, to include, but not limited to, conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, risk mitigation and management, etc.
• Prior HCAI healthcare project estimating management or preconstruction experience is required. Any of these HCAI experiences, or a combination of them, is acceptable.
• Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents at all levels of design (drawings, specifications).
• Proficient user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar quantity takeoff software preferred.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel intermittently for projects and meetings with clients and project site visits.
• A bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or architecture, or 5 years minimum of applicable construction trade experience in lieu of a degree, is preferred.

Compensation: $195,000.00 - $220,000.00
