Job summary

OCMI, Inc. (OCMI) in Northern California is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead comprehensive estimating efforts on large healthcare projects, oversee QA/QC, and communicate cost strategies to clients and A/E consultants.

This is a remote opportunity to work with a growing team of cost management professionals, supporting one of the nation’s largest healthcare programs while mentoring estimators.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years as a cost manager/estimating professional.
• Prior healthcare project estimating experience preferred (HCAI).
• Ability to interpret construction documents at all design levels.

Responsibilities

• Represent the firm to clients and partners with OCMI values.
• Explain cost deliverables and justifications in meetings or negotiations.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and preliminary pricing.
• Review drawings to understand project scope and develop cost estimates/models.
• Lead QA/QC procedures to ensure a quality client product.
• Mentor and oversee a team of cost estimators.
• Participate in business development and client outreach.
