Job summary

Linesight is a globally successful project and cost management consultancy seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead pre-contract cost control, budgeting, and cost planning for client developments. You will drive tender analyses, value-for-money assessments, and final account settlements while mentoring teams across diverse projects.

You will manage spend with valuations, generate clear cost reports, and coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure best value and timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Cost Manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management with budget control and cost planning.
• Chartered or on the path to complete it; company can help.
• Degree in project management or construction discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong relationships with team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the tender/bid process—from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process—identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect the project cost.
• Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling of claims.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and communicate variations to the team.
• Support nimble project management through cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
• Mentor and lead employees to foster top performance and growth.
