Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead pre-contract cost management, budgeting, and value-for-money analysis across complex projects. You will manage tenders, change control, and final accounts while mentoring teams to drive performance in a dynamic environment.

You will build strong client relationships and ensure clear cost communication, helping deliver value and maintain project integrity across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Cost Manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management and budget control.
• Knowledge of cost planning and change forms for discussions with project stakeholders.
• Chartered status or on the path to complete it.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in tender/bid process from initial documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process and implement changes affecting project cost.
• Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in preparation and agreement of final accounts and claims for best value.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend with valuations and cost reports; communicate variations clearly.
• Support project management decisions through cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support settlement of disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
• Foster mentorship and leadership to drive team performance.
