Job summary

Resonetics is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our accounting team in the United States, supporting inventory, cost of sales, and month-end close. You will track raw materials, identify excess/obsolete inventory, prepare journal entries, and maintain ERP data with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting, 2+ years in cost accounting, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel; Epicor ERP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Related Field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Cost Accounting work.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor raw materials and consumables inventory.
  • Identify potential excess and obsolete inventory with Supply Chain and Operations.
  • Monitor job close variances and provide root cause analysis.
  • Assist in month end close process for inventory and cost of sales.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for inventory, WIP, variances, returned material, and COGS.
  • Maintain internal accounting controls.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and projects.
  • Prepare reports for financial audits and management.
  • Maintain ERP data accuracy and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Develop process controls and documentation.
  • Maintain detailed accounting records.
  • Coordinate cross-functional requirements and continuous improvement.
